By downloading, installing, or using Emaan Companion ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Emaan Companion is an AI-powered Islamic spiritual companion that provides:
Emaan Companion is designed for Muslims of all ages seeking spiritual guidance and Islamic knowledge.
The App stores your preferences, mood history, and chat history locally on your device using AsyncStorage. No account registration is required. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and the data stored on it.
For parents/guardians: Please be aware that conversation history is stored on the device and can be accessed by anyone with access to the device.
Free Tier: All users receive 5 AI conversations per day at no cost. The knowledge base, mood tracking, prayer times, Dhikr counter, and all other features are always free.
Premium Subscription: For unlimited AI conversations, you may subscribe to Emaan Companion Premium at the price displayed in the App (currently £4.99/month).
Deleting the App Does Not Cancel Your Subscription
Important: If you delete the Emaan Companion app, your subscription will continue to renew automatically. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription or prevent charges.

Data Storage and Deletion
All conversations, mood history, and personal data are stored locally on your device. When you uninstall the app, all on-device data is permanently deleted. We do not store your conversations on our servers.
If you reinstall the app, your subscription will be restored via Apple, but your conversation history will not be recovered.

Important: Emaan Companion uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to provide spiritual guidance and Islamic knowledge. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses should not be considered a substitute for qualified Islamic scholarship. Always verify important religious rulings with a qualified scholar or imam.
All content, design, code, and branding of Emaan Companion are the intellectual property of Adal Nawaz. Quranic text and Hadith are from authentic public-domain Islamic sources. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App or its proprietary content without written permission.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
For users under 13: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All data is stored locally on your device. Parents/guardians should review our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms of Use. You may stop using the App and delete it at any time. Upon termination, your locally stored data will be removed with the App.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be effective when posted. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
